Jose L. Gochoco, DO, FACEP
Dr. Gochoco is a founding member and owner of Phoenix Emergency Group, Inc. He has been both CEO and CFO of the organization in the past and has served as Medical Director of both urban and rural emergency rooms. Dr. Gochoco has been instrumental in the development and administration of emergency medicine board certification exams and has served on Medical Executive committees as well as Morbidity and Mortality committees. Dr. Gochoco began his medical career after graduation from internship as a family practitioner in Phoenix, AZ. He left his thriving practice for the thrill and satisfaction of working nights in the emergency room, cultivating his skills as an emergency physician and ultimately co-founding the precursor of Phoenix Emergency Group, Inc. with Dr. Welch in 1989.
Dr. Gochoco holds certificates in ACLS, ATLS and PALS. He is a member of the AOA, the AZ Medial Association, AAEM, ACEP, and the AOMA.

David C. Welch DO, FACOEP
Dr. Welch is a co-founder and president of the Phoenix Emergency Group, Inc. He began the precursor of Phoenix Emergency Group, Inc. with Dr. Gochoco in 1989. He has served as the base hospital medical director at both rural and urban Emergency Centers. He has been devoted to EMS and has served as the EMS Medical Director for several fire departments and EMS agencies, and college paramedic programs. He is an active ACLS instructor and medical director for ACLS programs. He was one of the original Basic Trauma Life Support instructors for the American College of Emergency Physicians in Arizona. He is the Medical Director, Vice President and Co-Owner of Wilderness Medics, Inc. and the President of Welch Aviation. Dr Welch was the founder and past Program Director for the first Osteopathic Emergency Medicine Residency program in Arizona. Dr. Welch began his medical career as an orderly at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona in 1972.

Clark D. York, DO, FACEP
Dr. York joined Phoenix Emergency Group, Inc. as a newly graduated emergency medicine resident in July of 1992. He has served as the Emergency Department Medical Director at John C. Lincoln Hospital Deer Valley since 1996 and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine since 1997. He is distinguished as having served the Deer Valley hospital as Vice Chief of Staff and then Chief of Staff from January 1996 through December of 2003. Along with this very busy agenda, Dr. York has served on several hospital committees. He became a partner in Phoenix Emergency Group, Inc. and is currently our Chief Financial Officer.
Dr. York earned the Physician of the Quarter award at Phoenix General Hospital (predecessor of JCLDV) in 1993, and was awarded the Outstanding Service Award-Emergency Department during his residency at King/Drew Medical Center in 1992.
Dr. York is certified in ACLS and BLS and is a member of ACEP and AzACEP.
